So The Glammies 2016 came and went. Tickets sold out, there were loads of awards and the usual fantastic buffet. A great night was had by all.
Check out the full list of winners here:youth and adult.
Interested in becoming a Glammies appraiser?
Appraisers need to have experience in amateur theatre, and if they commit to seeing a show and writing a report on it, we expect them to honour that commitment: that's all we ask of anyone wanting to be part of the team.
The League covers the geographical area formerly defined by the old county of Glamorgan (which means Swansea and the Gower in the west, Cardiff to the east, and as far north as Merthyr).
We currently have 11 fully-paid up adult member groups, as well as 5 very active youth groups, and several individual members, but are always keen to welcome more. Take a look at our list of current members.
We have two major areas of on-going activity:
One-Act Play Festivals
Dates of the most recent Glamorgan One-Act Play Festival:
27-30 April 2016
The details for the 2016 Festival are available via the 2016 One-act Festival page.
Not to forget that in 2016 the British Final Festival of One-Act Plays will be held in Cardiff, hosted by Drama Association of Wales. It will be in the Sherman Theatre, on 1st & 2nd July.
Pop those dates in your diary now!
Details on what the Glammies is all about are on our Glammies page.
The 2016 Glammies Gala night was on Saturday 9th April in the Paget Rooms in Penarth.
See the lists of award winners here, together with the lists of nominations information. See Adults, and Youth.
All entries are now part of the 2016-17 season. Please use an entry form: you can get these via our Glammies page or go straight to this link for the forms.
The last date for seeing shows for the 2017 season will be announced soon, but is likely to be late February.
Please note we need four weeks' notice for a Glammies entry: there are no exceptions to this rule.
